Originally hailing from Vermont, Brigid studied American History, Museum Studies, and Studio Art at Smith College. After college she tried her hand at organic chemistry, innkeeping, and baking muffins, before heading down to the big city to attend Pratt Institute for an MS in Communications Design in New York City.
Today Brigid lives in South Philadelphia, where she is an interactive web and print designer with over ten years of experience turning conceptual ideas into visual reality. Exploring the city for the widest variety of doughnuts, she also cooks experimental dishes and has more podcast subscriptions than she can possibly listen to.
I will create a clean, user-friendly, screen responsive website, using content that you provide, using Squarespace.
$3150
Included:
We will have at least three meetings during this process: the Strategy Consult, the Content & Design Meeting, and the Launch (including a Squarespace Lesson).
Once the deposit is paid and the contract is signed, I’ll send you links to fill out the discovery questionnaire, workbook, and schedule our meetings, along with more details about how we’ll connect you talk on the site she creates.
Note: some find it easier (especially if they’re working with their institution for funding) to make the payment all at once. Either way I’ll provide you with invoices and receipts for payment.
*See Terms & Conditions below.
The deposit is non-refundable.
This proposal is valid for 14 days after the initial receipt.
Projected costs are simply that, projected. Your quote is based on the scope of work at the beginning of the project, as well as the timeline we agree upon when signing the contract. If you wish to add or change the scope of work, and if the timeline changes due to those changes or additions (or lack of responses on your part), these costs will be added as additional and must be paid before the project restarts.
Due to the nature of my work scheduling, I ask for all feedback to be returned within 2-4 business days unless I’m warned ahead of blackout days when you won’t be available. Failure to do so will result in project delays.
Feedback delays of longer than 1 week will result in the project being paused. To restart the project a fee of $250 will be added to the final invoice and the restart date will be subject to my availability.
Any additional revisions will be charged a discounted hourly rate of $75/hr and not be added to the final payment invoice.
Final files or launch will be delivered at scheduled upon receipt of the final payment.
Before the final payment is received, you will not have any rights to use the design.
If the project is cancelled before completion, I retain all rights to any work produced.
Invoices will be paid online through Stripe – I prefer bank transfers (ACH) because there are no fees, but if you request to pay via credit or debit card I can make that happen. I can accommodate written checks but it may delay the project start and I require a tracking number and signature upon delivery.
Costs like website hosting, domain registration, specialty items, and paid stock photography are not part of this cost breakdown – I am responsible for paying for those if they need to be purchased before final files are delivered.
The prices quoted are estimates and may change if the deliverables change – for example, if you want an annual report created, or a website that requires advanced functionality. If there is an item you know you will need, just let me know and I will adjust the quote!
Use of copyrighted items: by providing me any logos or other copyrighted images or information, you are promising that their use does not infringe on any intellectual property rights.
If the project is cancelled for any reason, you agree to pay for the work done up until when the work ends and not reimburse me for one-sided labor, non-cancellable expenses.
You agree to a design credit link in your website footer. It can be removed for an additional fee.
By accepting this proposal you and I both agree to the terms above, but this acknowledgement does not take the place of a signed contract.
